Staff will also be available to assist customers with setting up the new payment method of their choice. In addition separate letters will be sent to all Council Tax customers who use this facility (the largest group of Cashier customers) to advise them of the changes. In addition from Monday 31st March Council Tax staff will provide a customer advice table in the GH2 foyer to assist customers with changes. Tesco plans for Tolworth – latest
It seems that the whole question of a Tesco development at the ‘Toby Jug’ site may now be in some doubt, following a report from the Competition Commission. Follow this link to learn more http://www.surreycomet.co.uk/display.var.2074666.0.0.php

We have now posted some additional photos of the protest, which demonstrate how others are following our lead on this issue…….and very welcome they are too!

Save our Post Offices
Helen Whately was out and about this morning with councillors and supporters trying to save five Kingston post offices from closure. None of them are actually in Surbiton Hill ward but your councillors feel that these closures are symptomatic of a decline in local services that we should all resist.
We would ask you all to support the e-petition launched by the Surrey Comet on the RBK website. The link is http://epetitions.kingston.gov.uk/view_petition.asp?PetitionID=111. Click on that and you’re right there.
All parties are supporting this petition but we can’t help pointing out that, at the time of writing, most of the signatures have come from known Conservatives. We would ask you all to join us regardless of party. So come on Lib Dem and Labour supporters! Get a grip!
