Surbiton Neighbourhood Community Plan – Get
involved this summer
Whether you live, work, study or simply enjoy your leisure time in Surbiton or
Tolworth, you can have a say and make a difference to what happens in the
area.
A Steering Group of Neighbourhood Councillors and local people are looking
at issues such as facilities for young people, community space and information, Surbiton Town Centre, planning, traffic, parking and transport to influence Council decisions and make real improvements to the Neighbourhood.
One of the many aspirations of the Community Plan is more activities for
young people in Surbiton. So on 11 June, with the support of local youth
organisations and following consultation with young people, a facility offering a place for young people to meet opened in Balaclava Hall, Surbiton.
The facility will be open every Monday evening during term time from 7-9pm.
To find out more, please email Paul Warren at PaulWarren@ymcalsw.org or
call Paul on 07782 204818.
We want to hear from anyone who would like to join the Community Plan
Steering Group and either attend meetings or be part of a Community Panel
which contributes online. To join the Group or to find out what the community
are doing in the Neighbourhood, please visit

Residents’ Associations
Kingston Council now has a corporate Residents’ Association (RA) database. If
you are the Chair or Secretary of a local RA and have not heard from the Council, get in touch with us to make sure your details are recorded so that we can share information with you.
Call Gemma on 020 8547 5000 or email gemma.gallant@rbk.kingston.gov.uk

Want to form a Residents’ Association?

Residents’ Associations can bring neighbours together to solve problems, bring about improvement and have fun! If you do not have an RA in your area but would like to form one, please contact Christina Gardner on 020 8547 5000 or email christina.gardner@rbk.kingston.gov.uk
