Mayor funds 50 more police officers for outer London train stations

borisformayor2The Mayor has delivered yet another key manifesto pledge when he announced an additional 50 British Transport Police officers to patrol trains and stations in outer London on non-TfL services to clamp down on low-level crime and disorder at outer London rail stations. The teams of officers, to be rolled out over the first few months of 2009 will provide visible reassurance at more than 100 stations and routes in London’s outer boroughs.

Surbiton and Berrylands stations will benefit from this extra policing.
