Come and meet us – Ward Surgery
The next Ward surgery/advice centre for Surbiton Hill residents will be on Saturday 17th February between 10 a.m. and 12 noon.
This month the surgery will be held at the Community Centre in School Lane (right by the School Lane entrance to Tolworth Infants and Junior Schools).
No appointment is necessary.
Surbiton Neighbourhood Planning Committee
The committee meets tonight at 7.30 at Dysart school in Ewell Road.
Next week’s meetings
The next meeting of Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee takes place on Thursday 8th February at 7.30 p.m. at Dysart School in Ewell Road.
The Council’s Scrutiny Panel meets on Tuesday 6th February at 7.30 p.m. in the Council Chamber at the Guildhall in Kingston. The items under scrutiny will be
- The Administration’s Budget and Council Tax proposals for 2007-8 and
- Further development of plans to implement the Waste strategy and increase recycling in RBK.
Both these meetings are open to the public.
The state of Lovelace Road
Plane tree roots are causing considerable damage to the footway in Lovelace Road, as this photograph clearly shows. In some places the degree of heave is worse than shown here. The picture below demonstrates this.
Paul Johnston has asked the Council’s officers what can be done to keep the pavement safe for pedestrians while preserving the life of our valued plane trees. Any thoughts from residents would be greatly appreciated too.
Hosepipe ban ends
