Hook Road: now for the other side!
Following a gas escape, Southern Gas Networks are working to find the leak and repair the relevant pipes on Hook Road, opposite Ash Tree Close ( North of the junction with the A3). They repaired one side of the road without causing much disruption but now they have to do some repairs on the opposite side of the carriageway and they had to install two-ways temporary traffic lights to carry out these emergency works. The estimated end date for these works is the 9th of September 2010; we monitor these works closely to prevent any undue delay. Some traffic congestion is possible as essential planned works are still progressing at the junction with Hook Rise (A3).
