New ‘Sunrise’ enquiry: latest

This information is part of a letter sent today by RBK Planning regarding the date, time and place of the appeal by Sunrise Senior Living against RBK’s refusal of permission to build a large home at the Langley Avenue/Upper Brighton Road junction.

Sunrise Senior Living Limited has appealed against the decision of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, acting as Local Planning Authority, in refusing permission for Demolition of existing buildings. Erection of 3 storey residential care home with associated parking and landscaping at CUMBRAE AND OAKDENE UPPER BRIGHTON ROAD AND, 1 AND LAND AT REAR OF 3 LANGLEY AVENUE, SURBITON.

The appellant has requested that the appeal be determined by way of a Public Inquiry, which has been fixed for a period of up to 4 days starting from 10/02/2009 at 10:00 AM in Queen Anne Suite,Guildhall,High Street,Kingston upon Thames,KT1 1EU.

You may attend the Inquiry (personally or through a representative) and at the Inspector’s discretion give your views. The Planning Inspectorate will send a copy of the decision letter to you if you ask for one.

The Appellant’s and Authority’s statement giving the grounds of appeal are available for inspection at the Environmental Services Reception, 2nd Floor, Guildhall 2, between hours (0900-1645 Monday to Thursday, 0900-1630 Friday). Disabled Access is available.

Your councillors have always supported local residents in their resistance to this plan and hope that as many concerned residents as possible will attend the hearing.
