Council last night

You will see on the Surrey Comet link in the sidebar that the Executive plan to give the Rose a subsidy of £1.8million over the next three years in exchange for ‘services’ was approved by a majority of one vote.

Six Lib Dem Councillors were absent from the meeting for a variety of reasons and so were three Conservatives. The Independent member, who voted for the Conservative recommendation at Scrutiny last week did a 180 degree U-turn and voted with the Lib Dems last night, hence the one vote majority.
