Police activities on fireworks – Halloween and Bonfire Night

     We are advised that Kingston Police intend taking the following extra measures to ensure public safety during the forthcoming firework season :-

• Providing additional patrols during the late afternoon and evening of 31st October to deal with anti-social behaviour
• All Safer Neighbourhood Teams will be working a late turn within their areas on 31st October
• In particular on 31st October and 05th November, the borough hopes to have in excess of 100 PC’s and PCSO’s on duty each day to reassure the public and deal with incidents of anti social behaviour
• Plain clothes officers will also be deployed during this period at various times
• Kingston Town Centre will have extra police resources attached to it
• vide a presence at the Kings Meadow fireworks display on 02nd Nov 2007
• The Safer Transport Team will be working late shifts over this period providing additional presence at the transport hubs on the borough
