Proposed bus service changes
London Buses have informed us of some changes that Surrey County Council and Travel London want to make to bus services 515 and 515A in the Surbiton Area.
Route 515 currently operates from Kingston to Surbiton station, then Victoria Road, Upper Brighton Road, Lovelace Gardens and Lovelace Road, thence to Thames Ditton, Esher and Guildford every hour.
It is proposed that route 515 be diverted to run via Victoria Road, Brighton Road and Portsmouth Road. This will provide a slightly shorter route which should be more reliable. Lovelace Gardens and Lovelace Road would loose one bus per hour.
Route 514 will continue to serve Lovelace Gardens and Lovelace Road every hour.
Route 515A is a Sunday variation of route 515 which currently operates via St James’s Road, Maple Road, Brighton Road and Portsmouth Road approximately every two hours. It is proposed that it will operate via Victoria Road to bring it in line with the weekday 515. It will continue to be numbered 515A as other variations from the 515 will remain elsewhere along the route.
Please comment as soon as possible by email to Steve.Guess@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or to Paul.Johnston@councillors.kingston.gov.uk.
It is proposed that these changes will take place from Saturday 9th December.
