Herne Road review consultation
News is just in that the controversial traffic management scheme installed some 2 or more years ago at the junction of Herne Road and Hook Road will be reviewed early in the new year, with a report to the Neighbourhood Committee on 22nd March 2007. Council officers will be consulting residents by mail, though just how wide the consultation area will be is not known by us as yet.
Kingston town centre plans
There’s a view that only Kingston Town Neighbourhood councillors and residents have an interest in what goes on in the centre of Kingston. This is not a view we share and we would encourage all Surbiton Hill residents to familiarise themselves with plans to redevelop the town centre, usually listed under the title ‘K+20’.
On a smaller scale the Surrey Comet is currently running a poll on coffee houses and restaurants. This link will take you straight there:-
